Just because I'm Italian doesn't mean I can't make Asian

I was hungry one evening, as usual, and decided to make something a little more Asian. Not sure what to call it, but it was pretty darn amazing. I began by chopping up some onions and putting them in a pot. I covered them with blood-orange olive oil, salt and a splash of teriyaki sauce. After letting the onions sitting for a few minutes (covered), I added some chopped chicken, more blood-orange olive oil, some salt and pepper and a bit of powdered garlic. I then allowed it to simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes and added the green beans on top. I continued to let it cook for another 10 to 15 minutes (covered) and cooked some rice to have on the side. Still don't know what to call it, but let me tell you, it was good.

More than something we just eat.

For many people, food is something they will often see as the enemy. I believe it should be seen as something completely different. No, I'm not saying it should be our best friend or anything (although it sometimes can be.) Perhaps it is my Italian heritage that has instilled in me, the importance of food. To me, food is more than just something I eat. Food is part of our everyday life, something we should enjoy every time we eat it.

The purpose of this blog is to share with everyone my extreme love (probably more than borderline obsession) of all food. I'll probably really suck at updating it, and I'm really not sure what this blog will consist of. However, considering I take pictures of food almost every time I make something, there will probably be pictures of food...Buon appetito!
